Lamb prices paid in the factories have fallen by 5c/kg on average. Most farmers are being paid €4.50/kg to €4.55/kg including bonuses for lambs, with €4.60/kg much harder to come by.

The mart trade has also become more difficult, with factory-fit lambs weighing 46kg to 50kg selling from €91 to €101/head. Mart managers report reduced factory agent activity over the past week. Lowland stores are making €2/kg to €2.20/kg, with Scotch hill stores selling for €1.60/kg to €1.70/kg.
