While the bull trade was tough, some minor highs were seen, with a strong female trade closing out the day.

Mullawn Noble from Austin Garvey, Drumsna, Co Leitrim, secured the top price of €11,500. This stylish second prize winner has some favourites in his pedigree, being sired by Doonally New and out of a Pirate-sired cow. With five stars on the terminal index, he sold to Michael O’Reilly, Ballinamore, Co Leitrim.

Jim Geoghegan secured a double in the males, bagging both the overall senior and overall junior titles. The senior championship went to Lisnagre My Hero by Cloverfield Excellent while the junior went to Lisnagre Nero ET by Jupiter.

Michael and Kevin Graham bred the female and reserve female champions, Carrowbeg Magic 2 and Carrowbeg Magic 3.
