A conference on the future direction of the agricultural contracting sector will take place in Dublin in January.

The Association of Farm and Forestry Contractors in Ireland (FCI) is staging its biennial conference and exhibition on Wednesday 10 January.

The conference, supported by FBD, is titled Contracting – a Vision for the Future and will have a mix of exhibitors and over 30 seminars.

FCI estimates that the contracting sector has an annual turnover of in excess of €700m.

The event will take place at the National Show Centre in Swords, Co Dublin, which is next to Dublin airport.

The event will run from 12pm until 9pm. Entry charge is €20 with free car parking and refreshments included. FCI is encouraging its members to pre-register for the event by email to info@farmcontractors.ie or telephone on 087-755 1111.

FCI national chair Richard White said the conference will “provide Irish contractors with new information and advice in a structured way to help them to enhance their business to meet the needs of a changing agriculture”.
