The latest figures on new tractor registrations from Motorcheck.ie show that 1,796 new tractors were registered in Ireland up to the end of August, compared with 1,594 for the same period last year – a 12.7% increase in registrations so far this year.

The figures also show a significant drop in used tractor registrations, despite the falls in the value of sterling.

The number of used tractors registered dropped from 1,861 in 2017 to 1,819 for the first eight months of this year, according to the Motorcheck figures. This drop of more than 2%, reflects a very small drop-off in sales in the Irish tractor market for 2018.
