Dominic and Patrick Horgan are hiring a dairy farm assistant at Nobberbeg Farm, Nobber, Co Meath.

Duties will include all general dairy farm work, such as milking, stock herding, tending to livestock, feeding livestock and machinery work.

The salary is €34,000.00 for a 39-hour working week, including €17/hour rate for overtime.

The successful candidate will also get 20 days paid annual holiday leave. Additional unpaid time off is negotiable. Remuneration negotiable depending on experience and performance.

General roster of six days on, one day off and five days on, one day off, with the former roster used during busy periods, such as calving season.

Milking and animal handling experience required. Applicant will be part of a team of staff on a family-run progressive 400-cow, spring-calving herd in Nobber, Co Meath.

There is a large focus on grass, clover and cow health on this farm. The De Laval rotary milking parlour is equipped with ACRs, auto wash, auto teat spray and auto drafting.
