Anyone with two years full-time experience working in the agricultural sector with the relevant experience and a national framework of qualifications (NFQ) level six or higher qualification and be employed directly by a SOLAS-approved employer.
It is a two-year programme, where apprentices will engage in paid employment (on-the-job training) with a SOLAS-approved employer.
Course work (off-the-job training) will take place at Teagasc Kildalton College and Teagasc Moorepark. This training will take place in three- to five-day blocks.
The first step in the applications process is for the apprentice to gain employment with an approved employer.
