The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine will be located at Block 3, Row 13, Stand 263 in the Government Village at the 2026 National Ploughing Championships.

Department staff will be on hand to engage with farmers on the supports, services and schemes available to them.

Visitors at the Department stand can get advice on schemes and services, and discuss various issues, such as bovine TB, tree planting, fertiliser allowances, the National Fertiliser Database, MyAgFood system and the next Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).

The Department will also feature an outdoor display dedicated to on-farm badger biodiversity, which will show practical measures all farmers can take to reduce the risk of bovine tuberculosis (bTB) on their farms.

On Wednesday 16 September, the Department will host a conversation with Carina Roseingrave, the woman farmer ambassador for International Year of the Woman Farmer 2026. The conversation, which will be facilitated by Amy Forde of the Irish Farmers’ Journal, will provide a positive opportunity to discuss and engage on shaping a better future for women in the sector.

The Department will also promote the importance of farmer safety, health and wellbeing at the Ploughing.

It will highlight the supports and initiatives available to improve safety on our farms and support the health and wellbeing of farmers and farm families.
