A consignment of approximately 2,000 bulls will be loaded for Libya this week by Curzon Livestock.
The order includes Friesians weighing from 250kg to 600kg, with the lighter stock going for further feeding on local farms.
The order also includes young beef-bred bulls of 500kg to 700kg.
Curzon are hopeful of further orders from Libyan buyers over coming months as demand there for imported livestock of all types remains strong. This week’s boatload is the second to Libya in 2020.
Exporters continue to receive enquiries from Algerian buyers but no contracts have been signed yet.
