Kilkennny Mart saw a charity lot of a Limousin-cross bull weanling sell for €1,400 last week in aid of Feile O’Sullivan from west Cork.

Feile suffered serious injuries in a farm accident earlier in the year, which caused her to lose both of her legs.

Several GAA clubs and individuals have taken it upon themselves to raise thousands of euro in support of Feile and her family, with the GoFundMe page being the most popular in Ireland in 2025.

One such couple were Philip and Marie Brennan, who donated a Limousin-cross bull weanling to the cause.

Born September 2025 and weighing 200kg, well-known auctioneer George Candler took charge of the rostrum and achieved a price of €1,400 for the calf (€7/kg).

A bucket collection also took place on the day, with all donations going to Feile’s fund.
