Athlone-based pigmeat business Oliver Carty was one of the firms smiling after last week’s Bord Bia marketplace event, with confirmation that it has secured a major listing with Spinneys supermarkets in the United Arab Emirates.
“We will be producing and packaging Spinneys complete private label rasher range, along with our own branded Oliver Carty pork and bacon products,” Aoife Carty said.
“We will also be supplying Spinneys with our value add products including marinades, rubs and flavoured butters.”

The company is a major supplier to Musgraves and other retailers in Ireland.
The marketplace event was described by participants as “hugely successful”.
