Department to hold BISS clinics for farmers nationwide
The Department has emphasised that these clinics are especially helpful for farmers who do not have a farm advisory system-approved adviser to help them with their application.

The Department of Agriculture has announced that a number of in-person farmer clinics will take place across the country to help farmers with their applications for the Basic Income Support for Sustainability (BISS) and other area-based schemes.
At the clinics, farmers will have the opportunity to receive one-to-one support in submitting their scheme applications which are due by 15 May 2026.
Minister for Agriculture Martin Heydon stated: “These clinics have been exceptionally popular in recent years and offer an opportunity for farmers to engage directly with officials from my Department.

“We have excellent advisers to support farmers in making their BISS applications, but where farmers are not in a position to engage with an adviser, the clinics are an excellent means of ensuring that the BISS application is submitted correctly and on time.”

The Department has recommended that farmers planning to attend the clinics bring details of their MyAgfood.ie login, where available, and details of herd number and PPSN to verify their identity.
Sixteen farmer clinics are set to take place from 10am to 4.30pm in a number of locations, which are listed in Table 1.
