Up to eight bidders are moving into round two of the sale process for Rockwell Farm in Co Tipperary, the Irish Farmers Journal understands.
The two-stage process for the 805ac dairy farm required interested parties to submit their best bids in writing by last Wednesday 3 December.
It is understood that eight potential bidders have now been shortlisted as suitable buyers by the Spiritan order, which is selling the property to fund redress measures for victims of child sexual abuse by its members.
Those eight bidders will be invited to submit their final bids, along with a 10% deposit for some, or all of the landmark Tipperary property by Wednesday 10 December.
The Irish Farmers Journal understands that there is at least one farming family among the bidders, as well as an agricultural business.

Rockwell Farm's land, yards and sheds, in Lot 2.
The farm’s herd of approximately 600 cows is also available for sale, separate to the land. It supplies milk to Dairygold and has a state-of-the-art 60-bail rotary parlour installed about five years ago.
The property was guided at over €21m, not including the livestock.
Also among those bidding is Maurice Regan, the New York and Clonmel-based construction magnate whose Irish interests include the Mercantile Group, which features Dublin venues Cafe En Seine, The George, Whelans and The Mercantile Hotel on Dame Street.
Regan was a central player in the high-profile High Court dispute over the sale of Barne Estate, which Coolmore boss John Magnier lost earlier this year.
