The closing date for farmer applications for the On-Farm Badger Biosecurity Scheme has been extended to midnight on Sunday, 7 June 2026, the Department of Agriculture has announced.

The terms and conditions and farmer application form for the scheme can be found at www.bovinetb.ie. Applications will only be accepted by email to RAHBio@agriculture.gov.ie.

Grant aid lies at a maximum rate of 40% of expenditure on eligible materials and reaches a maximum of €2,000 excluding VAT. For example, the maximum grant payable under this scheme is €800 excluding VAT.
