A national conference on biomethane development will take place in Dublin on 25 June, bringing together stakeholders from across the energy, agriculture and waste sectors.

Biomethane Day Ireland, due to be held in the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, has been organised to mark the first year since the launch of the national biomethane strategy, which aims to support the production of up to 5.7 terawatt-hours of biomethane annually by 2030.

The event will include presentations and discussions on a range of topics, including policy implementation, feedstock supply, technology developments and environmental considerations.

Speakers are expected to include researchers, Government representatives and industry participants from Ireland and other European countries.

The aim of the conference is to provide an update on current progress, identify practical challenges and facilitate information exchange among those involved in the sector.

The conference is organised by the Biomethane RNG Channel, a media platform focused on renewable gas in Europe. It is supported by sponsors Nephin Renewable Gas and AB Energy.
