A free information and confidence-building mart event for women is being held by the Women in Agriculture Stakeholders Group in Tuam Mart on Wednesday 29 April from 11.15am to 1.30pm.

The event aims to build women’s confidence and knowledge within marts and also forms part of celebrating the UN’s year of the woman farmer 2026.

On the day, the Irish Cattle Breeding Federation (ICBF) will provide information about its tools and services, there will also be a mart tour, mock sale and information about mart processes.

The Women in Agriculture Stakeholder Group has said that no booking is required and all are welcome on the day, with light refreshments kindly provided by the mart.
