A batch of Butchers Selection Irish Turkey Burgers Mediterranean Style has been recalled by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) due to the presence of salmonella.
Consumers are advised not to eat the implicated batch which has a use-by date of 5 July, and retailers are requested to remove the implicated batch from sale and display recall notices at point of sale.
Symptoms of salmonella usually develop between 12 and 36 hours after infection, but this can range between six and 72 hours and last from four to seven days.
Diarrhoea is the most common symptom, but others include fever, headache and abdominal cramps.
