Kerry Dairy Ireland has announced a price cut of 3.35c/l, excluding VAT, for October supplies.
It has set a base milk price of 36.65c/l, excluding VAT, for October milk at 3.4% protein and 4.2% butter fat.
When quality and sustainability bonuses are added in, the overall price increases to 39.01c/l, excluding VAT.

"Market sentiment remains subdued as global milk production continues to outpace demand. It has been some time since the growth in supply has so clearly exceeded the growth in consumption," a spokesperson for Kerry Dairy Ireland said.
Lakeland Dairies
Lakeland Dairies applied a 3.81c/l, excluding VAT, cut to the base milk price for last month also.
A base price of 37.82c/l excluding VAT is to be paid on October supplies in addition to a 0.5c/l sustainability payment due to eligible suppliers.
