Cavan farmer Patrick Brady has been announced as the new manager of the Land Mobility Service.
The appointment was revealed alongside new branding for the Land Mobility Service at Tullamore Show on Sunday.
The Land Mobility Service was established in 2014 as a joint initiative by Macra and FBD Trust.
It is a dedicated proactive support service for farmers and farm families who are contemplating expansion, changing enterprise or taking a stepping back.
Brady, who has worked with the Land Mobility Service for several years, was at the Sustainable Livestock Village at Tullamore Show, alongside the service’s founders and industry members for the launch of the new branding.
Assist
“We are delighted to be launching our rebranding with the board, partners and users of the Land Mobility Service here in Tullamore,” Brady said.
He added that the service is available to assist those looking for land openings in farming.
“If you’re looking for a service as a young farmer or landowner to explore opportunities in the agricultural sector regarding land, then reach out to any member of our staff, as we are here to help both parties,” he said.
The confidential service allows people to explore their options and will help match landowners with farmers interested in long leases and collaborative arrangements, such as partnerships or share farming, be they within or outside the family.
