A suckler farmer in Ballinamore, Co Leitrim, has made an appeal for information after thousands of euro worth of equipment was stolen from his farmyard.
It is believed that the incident took place between midnight and 6am in the early hours of Tuesday 15 July.
Dara Reynolds, along with his father, works as a suckler farmer, as well as being builders constructing farm sheds and silage pits.
A Renault Master van (registration 161 D 1594), a quad trailer, a Yamaha R6 motorbike, a ride-on power float, a Bowser power washer and a number of concrete-finishing tools were among the items stolen.
The van is quite distinctive, with white and red markings around the side and back, as is some of the other equipment, while the power float and trailer are considered brand new.

Appeal
Speaking to the Irish Farmers Journal, Reynolds said, with the amount of equipment that was stolen, it would have taken a few hours.
“This equipment was very hard come by,” he said. “This is the type of thing you see going on in the back end of the year with the dark evenings, but this happened with serious daylight, so someone had to have seen something.
“You can’t stop [working], you can’t let the like of them put you down; you have to soldier on.”
Anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage that could aid this investigation is asked to contact Ballinamore or Carrick-on-Shannon Garda Station.
