Local Enterprise Offices (LEO) has announced that it will partner with Google in the Local Enterprise Village at the 2025 National Ploughing Championships.
This is the first time that Google will be present at the Ploughing.
It is partnering with LEO with the aim to help upskill small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in digital tools and artificial intelligence (AI).
The partnership was launched at an event in Google by Minister of State for trade promotion, AI and digital transformation Niamh Smyth.
Training
The dedicated Google area will host AI training and demonstrations at the Local Enterprise Village.
This training will focus on helping businesses to learn how to incorporate AI to make their businesses more efficient, with Google experts there through the four days.
Managing director of Google Ireland Cera Ward said: “Our focus is on how digital and AI tools are revolutionising business growth.
"We'll be on site to demonstrate how smarter search tools and powerful AI can help businesses reach new customers, streamline operations and compete effectively on a global scale.”
The Local Enterprise Village will accommodate 30 LEO supported small businesses from across the country.
It will showcase the very best of Irish entrepreneurship and will house businesses across all sectors from natural skincare and organic soy candles to sustainable fashion and eco-friendly 3D-printed sensory toys.
