The trip celebrated the achievements of this year’s competition winners, in areas such as sports, public speaking, performing arts and agriculture, with a mix of sightseeing, craic and friendship.

The group set off on Friday, arriving in the French capital full of excitement and anticipation.

Spirits were high as members checked into their accommodation and began to explore the city. Some headed straight for the magic of Disneyland Paris, where childhood nostalgia met rollercoaster thrills and plenty of laughter.

Others opted to wander through the elegant Paris streets, with its bustling cafés, and stylish boutiques, making the most of their first day in one of Europe’s most iconic destinations.

Saturday brought a full itinerary of sightseeing and adventure. The group gathered at the Notre Dame Cathedral, soaking up the atmosphere of one of the city’s most famous landmarks. From there, they strolled along the Seine to the Louvre Museum, where many took the opportunity to admire its stunning architecture and world-renowned art collection.

After a leisurely lunch, the group continued on to the Arc de Triomphe, with several members climbing to the top for breathtaking views of the Eiffel Tower and Champs-Élysées below, the perfect spot for those all-important Paris tourist snapshots. A

fter a busy day of exploring, members returned to prepare for the highlight of the weekend, a dinner cruise along the River Seine. As the boat glided past the glittering lights of Paris, the group enjoyed a delicious meal, great company, and plenty of laughter.

Montmartre

Sunday allowed for a relaxed morning of shopping and exploring around the charming Montmartre district before everyone made their way home, tired but smiling after a weekend packed with memories.

The trip was a fitting celebration of Macra’s well-deserving competition winners, recognising the effort, talent, and dedication they show throughout the year.
