The 2024 Biomethane Conference is set to take place on 12 June in Croke Park.

It’s been a big month for the anaerobic digestion (AD) sector with the launch of the long-awaited national biomethane strategy and opening of the expression of interest for a share of the €40m capital grant scheme.

The Government’s plans to develop 150 to 200 AD plants and a farmer-centric circular bio-economy will be the focus for the 2024 Biomethane Conference, organised by the Renewable Gas Forum Ireland (RGFI).

The conference, held in partnership with KPMG Sustainable Futures, the Department of Agriculture and the Department for the Environment is set to be timely for anyone interested in AD and circular bio-economy opportunities.

Speakers

Speakers include Minister for the Environment Eamon Ryan and Minister for Agriculture Charlie McConalogue, as well as farmer developers and feedstock suppliers.

The European Biogas Association, Teagasc, Food Vision 2030 strategy committee chair Tom Arnold and industry innovators from Nephin Energy, BioCore, Future Biogas and the Limerick-based Dairy Processing Technology Centre will also be speaking throughout the day.

The Irish Farmers Journal will also be chairing a session at the event.
