Man dies in Waterford farm fatality

A man aged in his 50s was pronounced dead at the scene of a farm accident in Co Waterford on Sunday.

A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána has told the Irish Farmers Journal: “Gardaí attended the scene following report of the discovery of the body of a male (aged in his 50s) at a premises in Ballyrobin, Ferrybank, Co Waterford, on Sunday 24 May.”

A file will be prepared for the coroner.

The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) has confirmed to the Irish Farmers Journal that it is investigating the farm incident.

A spokesperson for the HSA stated that no further information is available at this time.
