A man in his 30s has died in an incident on a farm in Dromcollogher, Co Limerick.
Gardaí confirmed they attended the scene alongside the emergency services on Saturday afternoon 24 January.
A spokesperson for the gardaí said the man was pronounced dead at the scene
His body was removed to University Hospital Limerick (UHL) for a post mortem examination and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) said it is aware of the incident and has launched an investigation into the circumstances.
This is the second fatal incident in west Limerick within a week. A man in his 90s died in an incident on a farm in Askeaton on Monday 19 January.
