Asba Meats, the Shannon, Co Clare-based meat processor, has been placed into receivership for the second time in six months.
Receivers Deloitte is the same company as was involved in September 2025 and the debt instrument under which the receiver has been appointed is also the same as September.
The previous receivership concluded following what the receiver said was “a settlement reached in relation to the debenture dated 13 December 2024 between the company and Tuffy Financial Service Limited on 7 November 2025”.

The receivership notice published to the Companies Registration Office is in relation to the same debenture as the one listed in the first receivership, suggesting that whatever settlement was reached in November has not developed as expected.
The Irish Farmers Journal has contacted Asba Meats for comment.
