Storm Chandra is to bring heavy rain, with Met Éireann issuing a yellow weather warning for some counties for most of Tuesday.

The forecaster has said due to ground already being saturated and heavy, persistent rain falling on this, there will potentially be localised flooding, river flooding and difficult travelling conditions.

The warning will come into effect for Carlow, Kilkenny, Louth, Waterford, Wexford and Wicklow from midnight on Tuesday until 11pm that night.
