Teagasc income from the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) fell by €1.43m last year compared to the year previous.
Data from the CAP beneficiaries database shows that Teagasc received €2.34m in EU funds last year, a decrease from the €3.77m it received in 2024.
Bord Bia funds also fell last year, with the total take by Bord Bia falling from €5.7m to €4.03m last year.
Its income for food promotion fell to €2.17m, down from the €3.26m it received in 2024. The State agency’s funding for the School Fruit Veg and Milk Scheme, under which it operates the Food Dudes programme under its horticulture remit, was down from €2.43m to €1.86m.
