Friday

Met Éireann has forecast spells of sunshine and some blustery showers for Friday.

Overnight rain will quickly clear in the east Friday morning.

There will be cloudier conditions in the west and northwest, with some heavy showers.

Temperatures will range from 11°C to 14°C, with moderate to gusty southwesterly winds, strong in the west and northwest of the country, but will ease later in the day.

Friday night is set to be largely dry, with some scattered showers in the west and northwest, near the coast. Temperatures will see lows of 4°C to 7°C, with moderate southwest to west breezes.

Saturday

Saturday will again see a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers, with some showers heavy in the north. By the afternoon and evening, showers will die out.

Highest temperatures forecast for Saturday are 10°C to 14°C, with light to moderate west to northwest breezes.

During the night, it will be mostly dry and clear, with some patchy cloud and isolated showers in the north. Light variable breezes are forecast, with lowest temperatures of 1°C to 4°C.

Sunday

A dry day is forecast by Met Éireann for Sunday “with variable amounts of cloud and sunshine and just the odd light shower”.

Temperatures will reach highs of 10°C to 14°C in light easterly or variable breezes.

Sunday night will be dry and clear, with lows of 1°C to 5°C and light breezes.

Next week

High pressure is set to bring settled conditions next week, according to Met Éireann. Monday will be dry, with plenty of sunshine and highest temperatures of 11°C to 16°C.

Met Éireann said: “A few showers can’t be ruled out next week, particularly in the east, with the best of the sunshine and temperatures looking more likely in the west.”
