Friday

It will be mostly cloudy at first on Friday, with rain forecast to clear eastwards early in the morning, followed by a mix of cloud, sunny spells and scattered showers.

“The showers will be heavy at times and may merge to longer spells of rain. During the afternoon, cloud will build from the west with outbreaks of rain and drizzle following, mainly affecting Munster and Connacht,” Met Éireann has said.

Outbreaks of rain and drizzle are forecast on Friday night, but drier conditions will develop over southern parts overnight. It will be a mild night, with lowest temperatures of 6°C to 10°C.

Saturday

Met Éireann has said it will be another cloudy day on Saturday, with further outbreaks of rain, becoming more isolated towards the evening.

Highest temperatures of 10°C to 13°C are forecast in moderate to fresh southwesterly winds.

While a clearance will develop over the north for a time on Saturday night, elsewhere will remain cloudy, with isolated showers, mostly in the north and west.

Another mild night is forecast.

Sunday

Current indications for Sunday suggest it will be a bright and windy day, with scattered showers feeding in from the west.

Highest temperatures will range between 9°C and 12°C in a moderate to fresh southwesterly wind.

Next week

Monday looks set to have a mostly bright and dry start, apart from the odd shower over parts of the west and north.

Cloud will increase from the southwest early on with rain and drizzle spreading northeastwards, turning heavy at times.
