Friday
Friday morning will be cloudy and breezy, with some outbreaks of rain and drizzle heading northwards across the country with moderate, westerly winds.
In the afternoon, rain will clear to bring some sunny spells and scattered showers and the winds will ease. Temperatures will range from 9°C to 14°C.
Met Éireann has forecast Friday night to be clear with some isolated showers, turning cloudier as the night goes on, with showers of rain and drizzle spreading northeastwards across the country.
“Lowest temperatures of 1°C to 6°C, coldest in Ulster, in light to moderate southerly winds, fresher in the southwest,” Met Éireann said.
Saturday
Storm Dave will come into effect from 2pm Saturday afternoon and will remain in place until 11pm Saturday night across the country.
It is set to bring "very strong southerly winds, veering westerly by the evening with severe gusts and coastal gales".
Rain will become widespread through the day, heavy at times, with spot flooding a possibility. Temperatures will reach highs of 11°C to 14°C.
On Saturday night, Met Éireann has forecast “wet and windy to start the night with outbreaks of rain and strong and gusty southwesterly winds”.
The rain will clear through the night to bring clear spells and some scattered showers. Hail and sleet may be possible.
The night will be cold, with lowest temperatures ranging from 1°C to 4°C with moderate to fresh winds.
Sunday
Easter Sunday will bring a bright and breezy day, with some sunshine and scattered rain.
“There is a chance of some showers of hail or sleet early on, mainly on higher ground,” Met Éireann said.
Temperatures will reach highs of 7°C to 10°C, with moderate to fresh westerly winds, which will ease in the evening.
Next week
According to Met Éireann, Monday will be a windy day, with cloudy conditions and patches of light rain and drizzle. Highest temperatures will range from 10°C to 14°C.
Next week will remain unsettled due to an Atlantic low pressure system that will bring more wet and blustery weather.
