Friday
Friday morning will see a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers, with cloud and outbreaks of rain extending northeastwards to all areas into the afternoon and evening.
Light to moderate southerly winds will become southeasterly and gusty, with the strongest of the winds along southern and western coasts. Temperatures will see highs of 12°C to 16°C.
Into the night, there will be widespread outbreaks of rain, heavy in some areas, especially in southern parts. Lowest temperatures will be 8°C to 11°C, with moderate to fresh and gusty southeasterly winds.
Saturday
It will begin wet and cloudy, with a clearance of sunny spells and showers building from the southwest as the rain clears in the afternoon.
In the evening, outbreaks of rain will occur in the west. There will be highs of 13°C to 18°C, with moderate to fresh and gusty southerly winds, veering westerly.
On Saturday night, Met Éireann has said there will be “outbreaks of rain, mainly for Atlantic and southern counties and it will be mostly dry in the midlands and east, with some clear spells”. Temperatures will not fall below 10°C to 13°C.
Sunday
In the morning, sunny spells in the east will give way to cloud and widespread rain, turning heavy at times.
Later in the day, drier conditions will develop in the south and southwest.
Highest temperatures are set to reach 14°C to 19°C in moderate to fresh southwesterly winds.
Next week
“Current indications suggest it will continue unsettled for midweek with further showers or spells of rain, breezy at times too,” Met Éireann has forecast.
Temperatures are set to range between 13°C and 16°C.
