It's the weekend! How are you going to spend your time? For some, the weekend may just be an extension of your week (I know the days seem to be blending into each other), but for others, it's a chance to catch up on housework, do some cooking and spend quality time with your family.

There's no shortage of meal and recipe inspiration online these days, but if the recipes are doing good and providing funds for charity, they are extra worth indulging in, in my books.

Also, if your kids are looking for a new furry friend but you are a pet-free zone, you might find the digital offering below interesting, educational and fun.

However you end up spending your weekend, as always, stay safe and have fun.

Boken the Dog

Boken the Dog.

Meet the cutest new addition to your kids’ screen time. Boken the Dog is the brainchild of Sarah Mastriforte and Neil Egerton. The couple live in Spain and have created an entire digital world devoted to their cute Schnauzer, Boken!

The Boken the Dog website includes downloadable stories, fun activities and educational titbits surrounding Boken’s adventures in Spain. This website is aimed at children aged 5-9 years and some of Boken’s adventures are centred around their travels in Ireland, bringing a taste of home to your kids’ experience.

Manor Farm Cookbook

Manor Farm Cookbook

If, like me, you love to cook and carry a deep love for all things chicken, Manor Farm has released a new digital cookbook, in collaboration with a range of Irish chefs and food influencers, with all proceeds going to the Feed the Heroes campaign, which aims to feed front line workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The cost of the cookbook is a donation to Feed the Heroes in support of the invaluable work they are doing to support our medical workers.

Manor Farm aims to raise €20,000 by 20 May. You can download your copy at https://chicken.ie/feedtheheroes/.

Recipes include Rachel Allen’s lemon chicken with fennel and leeks, Edward Hayden’s chicken noodle stir fry and JP McMahon’s roast stuffed chicken wrapped in bacon.
