Imelda Hurley is to step down from the board at the end of this month and leave the group at the end of April. The group said she was leaving “in order to pursue other business, academic and personal interests”.

As a result, the agri-services group has initiated a search for a new CFO and an appointment will be made in due course.

Commenting on the announcement, Origin chair Rose Hynes said: “Imelda has provided strong financial leadership during a period of significant change and transition for the group.”

Hurley joined the group in 2014. She was also company secretary.

Peter Dunne, who joined the group in 2016, has been announced as group finance director.
