I see that Barryroe Co-op chair Peter Fleming has been appointed as chair of Carbery, and Drinagh chair TJ Sullivan is the new vice-chair. A dairy farmer from Timoleague, Fleming succeeds Bandon Co-op’s Dermot O’Leary. The normal term is four years but O’Leary was in the hot-seat for just two, as he stepped in mid-term after then Lisavaird and Carbery chair Donal Tobin resigned following a squabble over the distribution of flexi milk that came into Lisavaird from Lee Strand.

Meanwhile, I hear interviews are being held for a new CEO to succeed Dan MacSweeney.
