Jason Hawkins, chief executive of Carbery in west Cork, took to the airwaves on Tuesday night to address Drinagh milk suppliers, the larger of the west Cork co-ops.

The Carbery boss was upbeat on milk prices and, while not mentioning any specific numbers, he said the outlook for milk prices was stable to positive, with supply and demand in sync.

He highlighted the fact that the COVID-19 vaccine rollout and expected recovery in the food service sector were important factors in determining what type of a year 2021 would turn out to be on milk prices.
