The Farm Tractor and Machinery Trade Association (FTMTA) unreserved sale will take place this Saturday 30 September in Punchestown Event Centre in Naas, Co Kildare.

The event will be a national auction of machines and parts and will accept lots from all FTMTA member firms, including retail dealers, manufacturers and distributors.

The auction is expected to attract a high number of quality lots from farm machinery businesses across the country.

There are dozens of tractors new and old going under the hammer this week. There will be one dedicated tractor drive-through ring on the day. The tractors include a 2014 New Holland T7.185

Viewing will be open at Punchestown, the long-time home of the biennial FTMTA Farm Machinery Show, on the Thursday and Friday prior to the auction.

The event is hosted in conjunction with auctioneering firm, Paul Cooke Auctions.

Combines as well as forage harvesters will be on sale.

The sale

Two sales rings will run at the auction, with tractors and self-propelled lots to be sold in a drive-through auction.

This will take place in the main event centre building and other lots will be held in a separate ring.

The machinery

Many lots of all types of machinery, including almost 40 tractors, combines, self-propelled silage harvesters, tillage implements, grass implements and generators, have been arriving at the Punchestown site over recent days

There will be a mixture of new and used equipment.

There will be a range of ploughs on sale on the day
