Two separate holdings of maturing forestry are for sale in Wicklow and Meath.
Quinn Property is handling the sale of 35.6ac at Rosnastraw, Tinahely, Co Wicklow with a guide price of €6,000/ac.
The property sits on the R748 main road only 4km from Tinahely and 15km south of Aughrim. The forestry crop is mainly Sitka spruce and Scots pine with a small quantity of oak.
The Scots pine was planted in 2000 while the remainder was planted in 1994. The auction takes place on Friday, 27 June at 11am.
The second holding is 67ac located at Enfield, Co Meath and it is offered for sale by Coonan Property by private treaty with a guide price of €300,000.
The location is approximately 3km from Enfield town and the plantation sits in two separate divisions, approximately 500m apart.
Both blocks have good access from the public road, the agent says.
This forestry was planted in 2009 and the mix of species include ash, alder, beech, Douglas fir, European larch, Japanese fir, Norway maple, Pedunculate oak, Scots pine and sycamore.
No further premiums remain to be claimed.
A drainage system has been in place since the forest was established and the soils range from high quality to partially peaty in the Meath holding.
The trees are generally growing well with good form and condition, the auctioneers say.
The ash element requires removal and replanting via the reconstitution scheme.
