A c442ac residential farm is on the market near Banteer, Co Cork. The holding is at Inchamay, about 3km from Nadd village. It’s for sale with Murphy Browne Auctioneers by private treaty.

The holding is located just off the R579 Cork-Kanturk Road. It sits between Coillte forestry and the Knockduff wind farm.

The holding is in one block. The farmhouse and yard are together, sitting on a c80ac area of good lowland grass.

The remainder of the land has been used for grazing cattle and sheep.

The two-storey, five- bedroomed farmhouse has been vacant for a number of years and now requires upgrading and modernising. It has an electricity supply, a well and a septic tank. The main shed in the yard measures 62ft x 45ft. There are also three stables and a lofted storehouse.

According to auctioneer Dan Murphy, the holding can be sold in one or more lots and it comes with entitlements to EU direct payments.

It has the potential to be used by large commercial interests for offsetting their carbon footprint, he noted, as there are already large scale projects nearby utilising similar land for this purpose.
