A fine 119ac tillage farm with a farmyard is on the market near Stamullen, Co Meath. The property is Curraghwalls Farm and it will be offered for sale at auction by Robert B Daly Auctioneers.

The location is 6km from Stamullen and 4km from Ardcath. The M1 motorway can be accessed at Naul.

The land is divided by the pubic road into two facing blocks, one of 51ac, the other 68ac, with the farmyard. As a result, it has over 2km of road frontage.

This is productive, free draining land. It has a history in tillage crop production – it was owned by the famous Joe “Spud” Murphy, potato grower and a founder of Tayto crisps. Interestingly, he is credited with developing the cheese and onion flavouring.

Meanwhile, the auctioneers say that a feasible study for a large solar farm has been prepared by a solar farm developer. Details of the report are available to interested parties.

The farm will be offered in lots. Lot 1 is the 51ac block with frontage on the Rowlestown road and also the L1618 local road. It has a guide price of €1m.
