A 38ac farm will be auctioned next month in Co Meath. It is outside Oldcastle and is being sold by Martin Shortt.

The property has over 500m of frontage on to two roads. The land is well fenced, with mains water laid on. There is a traditional farmyard with round-roofed haysheds, a cattle crush and a number of older, stone-walled buildings.

Auctioneer Martin Shortt says that the land is top quality: “This is a real gem of a farm.”

He will offer it at a public auction on 10 September at Lakeside Manor, Virginia. It will be offered in two lots plus the entire. Lot one will be 15ac with good road frontage. Lot two will be 23ac with the yard, sheds and cattle crush. Lot three will be the entire. The farm is being guided at €10,000/ac.
