Sheep producers are facing further price cuts, with factories reducing quotes by 5c/kg to 10c/kg in the last week.

Pressure on factory prices is also having a negative effect on store lamb prices.

Sheep producers are facing further price cuts, with factories reducing quotes by 5c/kg to 10c/kg. Prices now range from €4.55/kg to €4.60/kg for producers with lower negotiating power to €4.65/kg to €4.75/kg for regular producers and producer groups handling high numbers. Last week’s kill increased by 1,290hd to 65,498 with a large ewe and ram kill of 13,452hd.
