The owner of 12 Friesian cattle stolen in Skibbereen, Co Cork, two weeks ago has increased the reward money for information to €15,000.

The IFA initially contributed €10,000 as a reward for significant information on the theft which would lead to the arrest of the individuals involved. Farmer Martin Harte has now added another €5,000 to the reward.

The Friesian weanlings weighed between 205kg and 300kg, and they had their backs and tails clipped.
