One of the most controversial figures in Longford farming has been removed from the Irish Cattle and Sheep Farmers’ Association (ICSA).

I understand that former treasurer James Reynolds has been expelled form the ICSA, a predominantly drystock organisation.

Why? Well because he is also deputy president of a right-wing political party, The National Party. The party is not a fan of abortion or immigration. Reynolds is, according to a spokesperson for the ICSA, entitled to “due process” and has “14 days” to appeal the decision.
