The Rural Payments Agency (RPA) has published its payment rates for farmers claiming in 2019. It will pay non-severely disadvantaged (SDA) land at €261.39/ha (including greening).

For upland SDA land, it will receive €259.45/ha (including greening) and SDA moorland is paid at €71.16/ha (including greening).

Exchange rate

This follows the confirmation of a Basic Payment Scheme exchange rate of €1=£0.89092, which has been at similar levels for the least three years. Payments will start landing in English farmers’ bank accounts in December.

The UK Government has confirmed that BPS, greening and the young farmer payment will continue to operate for the 2020 scheme year.
