The winners of the Scotland Food & Drink Excellence Awards were announced last week with QMS chairman Jim McLaren winning the award for Outstanding Contribution.

The awards ceremony announced a total of 26 winners out of more than 275 entries.

Aberdeenshire-based Quality Pork Ltd won in the category Success Through Partnership and Chesters from the Scottish borders won the title of Primary Producer of the Year.

St Andrews Farmhouse Cheese Company won in the Dairy category for their St Andrews Farmhouse Cheddar, while PR Duff Ltd (MACDUFF 1890) won the title as Scotch Brand Product of the Year with their MACDUFF 1890 Native Breed Body (Scotch beef PGI).
