Several status yellow wind warnings will come into force on Saturday, with Met Éireann forecasting strong winds and gusts of over 90km/h.

The first warning comes into effect from 11am on Saturday in Munster.

Met Éireann has said that strong and gusty southwest to west winds with gusts in excess of 90km/h are forecast. The warning remains in place until 4pm.

From 12pm, a yellow wind warning will come into force in Leinster. Again, strong and gusty southwest to west winds are forecast with gusts in excess of 90km/h.

It remains in place until 6pm. A status yellow warning is in place for Connacht from 3pm until 6pm.

At 4pm the warning comes into effect in Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal and remains in place until 9pm.
