The sheep trade appears to have steadied after some price pressure at the start of the week. A number of plants reduced their base quotes by 5c/kg to 10c/kg, leaving base quotes in a wide differential ranging from €5.00/kg to €5.20/kg.

Quotes are unchanged since the start of the week, leaving the two Irish Country Meats plants in Camolin and Navan on a base of €5.00/kg plus their 10c/kg quality assurance (QA) bonus, while Kildare Chilling is unchanged on last week’s price and continues to lead the quotes table with its base quote of €5.20/kg plus 10c/kg QA.
