Pete is finding it hard to deal with Dolores’s treatment, and continues to fuss over her, causing her to snap. In an effort to make up, he organises a day of pampering for her at the salon. Later on, having had the best day in ages, Dolores tries to get closer to Pete. He lies about having to speak to Doug about Ama, leaving Dolores devastated by his snub.

Elsewhere, Jo very reluctantly agrees to go to Cork for her school reunion and is nervous when she meets her old school friends, Clodagh Roche and her husband. When they question Jo about working in a chipper, Dermot lies and says they own a chain of them and opened a charity shop with the profits. Will they get away with the lies?
