There was sticky trade in Kilkenny today, Wednesday, at the first multi-breed sale of 2020. At the time writing Hereford bulls had all gone through with all but one failing to make it past the €2,000 mark and many going unsold. Limousin bulls sold to a high of €3,350 with a good number going unsold also.

Regular exhibitor John O’Callaghan again stole the show with his top two Friesian bulls selling for €4,600 and €4,000.

The start of the Angus breed found it difficult going, with only a few securing bids over the €2,000 mark.
