With a new CEO appointed and the implementation committee report concluded, the IFA can move forward and close the door on the events of last November.
"If the IFA is to regain the trust of farmers, it needs our leaders to stop spinning in the mud" - Tommy Sheridan, Hollybrook House, Carlanstown, Kells, Co Meath.
The IFA's executive council must ensure the necessary information is provided to the membership to ensure that the election is focused on policy issues that will deliver for farmers.
Con Lucey reported back to the IFA with a 44-page document on current practices and suggested reforms, while storms wreacked havoc on homes and farms around the country.
Earlier rumbles of a pay row in the IFA burst to the forefront of Irish media in November in a scandal that shattered the trust of farmers right across the country.
